VÄKI – Moving Nature

In Väki mythology, nature has its own power, its own VÄKI, which flows through the forest’s depths, in the soft moss beds, and in the crystal-clear babbling forest streams. This force calls us to slow down, feel the connection, and let our bodies tell the story of nature and human interaction.

We draw inspiration from the colors, shapes, textures, and sounds of northern nature, letting them awaken movement and dance within us – both guided and improvised. Movement connects us to the natures elements: we feel the wind flowing through our breath, the earth’s steadiness in our steps, the softness of water in our bodies, and the warmth of fire in our hearts. The pulse of nature resonates within us, reminding us that we are part of an eternal dance of life.

Moving Nature is a purifying, calming, and authentic experience where everyone can let natural movement unfold and be nourished by the presence of nature. No previous dance experience is required – all you need is an open mind and weather-appropriate clothing that allows you to move freely and rest on the forest floor.
