Welcome to Lapland Deluxe: an authentic 160 years old country estate by the naturally beautiful lake Vanttausjärvi less than an hour (55km) outside of Rovaniemi, Lapland, Finland.
Lapland Deluxe is a beautifully unique place with a warm atmosphere, a rich history and hundreds of stories from years past. All the buildings are renovated to a condition they deserve. We warmly welcome you to visit our labour of love and have a genuinely authentic Lapland experience!
Our services are customized for small private groups
The activities take place in our private peninsula, surrounded with beautiful nature and lake Vanttausjärvi. The nature activities are based on Nature Empowerment which maintain and improve human well-being and quality of life. We have a license to provide activities based on this method and we are members of Green Care Finland Association.
Traditions are cherished and respected on our estate, the animals are Finnish indigenous breeds: Finnsheep, Finnish Kainuu´s grey sheep, two cats, country chickens and a rooster. The sheep of our estate have an important role as “therapy sheep” and also as gene bank sheep. During your stay you can spend relaxing time with our sheep, we are happy to guide you.
Examples of the experiences we offer:
Arctic nature adventure – Walk on frozen lake Vanttausjärvi under the starry arctic sky, build a fire, enjoy sauna and a farmhouse dinner.
Ice fishing adventure – Try out how the fishing with fishing nets is done at the Arctic Circle. Also a possibility to do traditional ice fishing.
Dinner – Our food philosophy emphasizes fresh, crisp tastes and local produce. We serve Lappish dinners for you at the long table in our authentic historical log house. The atmosphere is magical and worth experiencing.
Experience the magic of a 160 years old log sauna on a lakeside – Private sauna experience for you and your friends.
Magical Christmas with family and friends – Come and meet Santa Claus, have a taste of traditional Finnish homemade pastry with coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
Design your own Lapland Deluxe experience – When you are having a special day such as a wedding or birthday, please contact us and we’ll make a memorable day together. We have a beautiful Barn Chapel on our peninsula and it can be used all year around.
