Embark on a captivating journey to the Amethyst Mine, nestled about 1.5 hours away from Rovaniemi, where the magic of discovery awaits. In winter, a Pendolino (snow train) transports us through the snowy forest to the hilltop; in summer, we ascend directly by car. Upon arrival, step into a rustic wooden building where tales of the mine's history and the mesmerizing allure of amethysts await. Armed with your own digging tool, venture into the digging area to unearth your very own amethyst gemstone, each a unique treasure waiting to be found. Select one stone to keep as a memento of your adventure, fitting within your closed hand. Then, explore the charming shop filled with an array of amethyst jewelry and stones before bidding farewell to this enchanting experience.
