Pinewood’s huskies was founded by a group of friends, whom all share the same lifestyle and passion, SLEDDOGS!
We are located in the rural village of Sonka. From the center of Rovaniemi it is about a 40minute drive to reach our kennel. It is well worth the travel as our tours go through some of the most beautiful areas of Sonka. You get to experience the true feeling of traversing the wilderness by dog sled.
To us our dogs are family, this is in essence what makes our lifestyle so rewarding, following them grow from puppyhood to adulthood developing their own personalities and tendencies. Thus the care and wellbeing of our dogs is our main priority. In our opinion the dogs are amazing beings and incredible athletes, we believe that they deserve the best care.
We wish to welcome our customers to join us doing what we love most, creating wonderful experiences and memories with our dogs.
We hope to also educate our customers about what it means, to truly love and ethically care for the dogs year round.
We are open all year round. During the winter we offer selfdriven and also guide driven sleddog tours, during the spring and summer time at the kennel it is a well earned holiday for our dogs, so we enjoying free running and playing with them. During the autumn it is time to start getting the dogs back into shape for the coming winter season. Year round we offer different types of tours and experiences, please get in touch to see what is available.
