About
Learning the basic skills and camera settings for photographing Aurora Borealis, the northern lights. An instructive presentation on how to capture them will be held at Tajukangas lavvu by bonfire with a guide. He will walk you through the settings of your camera and give helpful tips while the auroras might blazing in the sky.

Capturing Auroras Photography Workshop lasts 2,5 hours. No Auroras? No problem. Let’s photograph starry sky! No starry sky? No problem. Let’s do the light-painting with headlamps and capture that!
Before the Photography Workshop
Charge your batteries and take spare ones with you (keep the batteries close to your body to keep them warm)
Clean the lens and check that your camera works (e.g. take a photo)
Empty your memory card and take spare ones with you
Activate the Northern Lights alarm system to your phone here (free of charge to all visitors in Pyhä)
Getting there and away
From Rovaniemi, the closest airport and Santa Claus’ headquarters, it takes two hours by car or by Skibus to reach us in Pyhä (Hotel Pyhätunturi).
Kindly note that 10% of the price of your tour is non-refundable. The 10% will be used to cover fees connected to your booking such as credit card transactions and other administrative charges. Refunds will only be issued to the card used to purchase the tour.
